Brenda Elmer is the Executive Director for the North Dakota Corn Growers Association. She joined the Association in 2020.
Brenda is a graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul, MN with a masters degree in public administration and Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN with bachelor degrees in both Mass Communication and Political Science. She has more than 20 years of public policy experience at the federal, state and local levels. She previously served as a North Dakota regional director for a national construction association. She grew up on a farm in northeastern South Dakota.
Brenda and her husband Corey have three boys and enjoys traveling with her family, gardening and baking and cooking.
Mark Puppe
Communications and Member Services Specialist
Mark Puppe serves as the Communications and Member Services Specialist for the North Dakota Corn Growers Association.
His educational background includes a master’s degree in communication from NDSU, a law degree from UND, and teaching college level and professional continuing education classes.
Mark’s passion for empowering North Dakota small businesses and promoting rural community culture is backed by 20 years of communications experience at statewide advocacy organizations and as an independent consultant. Mark’s emphasis is building Association membership and prominence and ensuring corn producers recognize the value of standing together.
He is rooted in having grown up around North Dakota farms and lived across the state.
Mark and his daughter live in north Fargo.
